Seattle United SoccerFest

Program Outline 2015

The SIXTH annual Seattle United SOCCERFEST will take place June 26-June 28, 2015. This event will combine a handful of events aimed at creating development opportunities for our U11-U13 Regional Select players, fostering intra-region and inter-region club unity and, above all else, giving these players the opportunity to have a tremendous amount of fun.

For the games component, each team will play 2-3 games over the course of the weekend against like-competition from other Regional Select teams. There may be opportunities for older teams, if interested, to play a game or two. This will depend on participation.

Due to the Shoreline Arts Festival taking place at the same time as the Soccerfest friendlies, please make sure to plan for the extra time it will take to park and get to fields.  It is highly recommended that you carpool and/or drop off players at field and then look for parking.

We are hoping that many of you will choose to take advantage of the offerings at the Shoreline Arts Festival on Sat/Sun, June 27 and 28, from 10am-6pm while you are present at Soccerfest.

Beware, though, that the normally plentiful parking for soccer matches at the Shoreline A/B fields and Shoreline Stadium will be severely tasked during this year’s overlapping events.

We would like to strongly encourage you to park on the periphery of the Shoreline Center complex by using street parking to the east and south (for Shoreline Stadium games) and to the north and west (for Shoreline A-East and West, and Shoreline B games). Please plan on actively avoiding the main Shoreline Center parking area at the intersection of 185th and 1st NE.

In addition, it may be advisable to plan on dropping players and family members off (1) in the Shoreline Stadium south lot (for Stadium games), or (2) along 1st Ave NE north of the Shoreline pool (for A/B games) and then proceed to find parking in the areas mentioned.

A map of the vicinity is below, with labelling of the above areas.

If parking on the residential streets, please be courteous of the local residents by not blocking driveways or otherwise inhibiting their access in and out of the neighborhood.
