George Singh

George Singh

Born in Sacramento, California, George Singh has garnered 25 years of experience by playing and coaching at a number of levels throughout Washington. George is the club’s South Region Director.

Seattle United will look to draw upon George’s proven track record of developing players into college caliber, as well as passing players on to the top youth teams around Washington. and promoting them into the top levels.

George’s head coaching career started with Evergreen SC (now WA Rush) where he coached the Boys 92 and Boys 93 A teams. He also served as a team trainer for multiple teams within the club, providing additional training to the club’s players and assisting coaches with sessions.

From there, he went to NW Nationals, where he led the club’s Girls 95 Blue and Boys 96 Red teams, where George’s Boys won the Snohomish Bigfoot. George was also one of the club’s three Technical Trainers, in charge of providing club-wide programs for players.

Joining HPFC for the 2009/2010 season, George coached the Boys 94 Blue and Girls 97 Blue teams. George led the Boys to a Quarter-Final appearance in the Washington State Cup.

As a youth player, George played six seasons for the Royals FC out of Snohomish, winning six-consecutive Premier Division 1 league titles. George would go to play in the prestigious Dallas Cup in 1986, and would win the 1987 State Cup Championship.

After concluding his youth club career, George spent a year traveling before returning to play two seasons for Edmonds Community College from 1993-1995. While there, he led his team to the State Final in his first year and was twice selected to the All-State team.

Selected to the Washington State U-23 ODP Team in 1996, George would go on to play for the Seattle Sounders Select in 1997, before going on to play for the full team for the 1998/1999 season.

Playing six-years for the semi-professional Hibernian Saints from 2000 to 2006, George won the Pacific Coast League four times, before concluding his career with the club by winning a USASA National Championship in 2005.
