A Letter From New Board President Amy Gaffney

Welcome Message From New Board President

Dear Seattle United Families,

On behalf of our newly elected board for the 2017/2018 season, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your commitment and dedication every week, hit a few highlights, and invite you to join us to contribute your ideas and skills in any way you can.  No experience necessary!

Thank you!

Thanks for all you do every week, year round, to make this Club successful.  It’s a true team effort all around. Laundry, driving, carpool management, calendar management, team tents, team benches, team managers, and so much more.  It’s all appreciated.

We’d Love to Hear from You!

I know we have a lot of club members out there with great ideas and untapped skills.  I would love to hear from all of you, especially those of you who have not volunteered before.  We have ways you can contribute just a few hours or a few years!  Thanks to those who have volunteered in the past.  I think the club does a great job, but we are always open to hearing any suggestions you have.

Please contact me at boardpresident@seattleunited.com, or Kevin Long, Executive Director, executivedirector@seattleunited.com.

Contribute Financially

• If you are short on time, but still want to help, financial contributions are always welcome.
• The club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
• Additional financial contributions or sponsorships help us to fulfill our commitment to need-based financial aid, support club programs, and keep club fees as reasonable as possible.
• If you or anyone you know is interested in making an individual contribution or discussing a potential business sponsorship, please reach out to Jason Farrell, Director of Development and Communications, jasonf@seattleunited.com.

Community Building

As we mature as a soccer club, we are working to build and celebrate the Seattle United community.

• First Annual Seattle United Picnic in August 2017 – We had great turnout and look forward to that becoming a fun annual tradition for everyone to join in on. It was a terrific chance for us to say thank you to all of our families.
• Don’t forget to buy your ticket for the Gala – February 3, 2018!
• We look forward for more ways to bring the Seattle United community together.

Board Members

• Additional Board members include Chris Tessin (VP and Treasurer), Amy Marsh (Secretary), Paul Merz, Kelly Mullins, Parker Mason, Stephanie Yurcisin, Tisha Pagalilauan, Michael Pickett, Mike Fitzpatrick, Phil Herold, and Ryan Woodland.
• Feel free to reach out to any of them as well if you have any questions, suggestions or want to volunteer.
• Finally, a big thank you to outgoing Board President, Steve Morrissey.  I have big shoes to fill.

Thanks again for all you do, and I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
