Jackson Ragen to Send Updates From Germany

(Check back often as Jackson sends in updates from his Berlin Young Champions Tournament!)

Congratulations to Jackson Ragen, who is traveling to the exclusive International Young Champions Tournament at the 2015 UEFA Champions Festival in Berlin from June 1-7.

The Young Champions event is a 5-aside tournament executed in conjunction with this year’s UEFA Champions League final.  This opportunity, provided by adidas, will see all American participants travel to Nuremberg for the tournament with transfer to Berlin for this year’s Champions League final.  As a representative of “Team USA,” Jackson will compete against his counter parts from Brazil, Germany, and Japan under the auspices of the impending club final in Berlin.  In the heartland of the reigning World Cup champions, and at the home of the premier soccer brand in the world, Jackson will be inundated in the culture of a sport that brings the world together.

Before Jackson left, he had this to say about the opportunity, “I am really excited and honored to be selected.  It is really special to be able to represent my club and my city, not to mention my country, at an event like this.  It’s been a dream of mine to be able to watch one of the big games in Europe, and to be able to actually play in Europe and then go to the Champions League final will be a really cool experience.”

“We are super excited for Jackson,” says B98 Copa head coach and DOC Jason Farrell.  “Jackson truly reflects what we feel a Seattle United player represents.  Not only is he incredibly talented, but he has a fantastic work ethic, he is a team leader and he carries himself well on and off the field.  He certainly deserves this opportunity and we know he will represent SU well.”

An incomparable experience awaits Jackson and his Team USA teammates in Germany…where #differentrules apply.
